Pick Your Own

Carlson Orchards is a 120 acre working farm run by the second generation of Carlsons in Harvard, Massachusetts. We welcome all sorts of folks out to the country throughout the year to pick a variety of fruit crops. Our home orchard is 50 acres of rolling green fruit trees, a prolific 25 year old blueberry patch, a new Fall raspberry patch, several grassy fields suitable for gazing at the clouds, a frog pond with an unofficial count of over 50 dragonflies (Last survey conducted by Ethan Brooks, age 11 years), the really really great pumpkin patch, six varieties of peaches, five varieties of nectarines, and, of course......APPLES!!!! Over 14 varieties.

Come treat yourself and those you love to a day of apple picking, hot spiced cider, and a generous helping of our apple crisp -- steaming hot and loaded with a whipped cream topping! Pick your favorite variety of apples in season: McIntosh, Cortland, Macoun, Red Delicious, Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold, Empire, Royal Gala, Cameo, Jonagold, Crispen, Braeburn, Fuji, Granny Smith (and super secret Baldwins....if you can find them in the orchard.)

I have been to so many orchards in the area and I have to tell you....my day at Carlson's was by far the nicest I've had yet picking apples, drinking cider, and having fun.

I appreciate your quiet, unhurried approach to apple picking without the circus atmosphere. I just want a place to show my kids how to pick apples....just like I did when I was a kid.

Thank you thank you thank you.
